Mitaka International Exchange Walk Rally 2009

In the aim of promoting exchange between Japanese and non-Japanese people in Mitaka City, MISHOP will host an International Exchange Walk Rally to commemorate National Walk Rally Day. On the day of the walk, participants from many countries will meet, form small groups, and stroll around the leafy green areas and historic sites of Mitaka City while solving a quiz.

Now recruiting volunteer staff!

MISHOP is now looking for volunteer staff who can help with this event. Volunteers are needed to help inspect the course and make the quiz, assist with the reception and help monitor the progress of the walkers on the day. Interested parties are kindly requested to contact MISHOP.
Date and time: May 17, 2009 (Sun) 12:00 to 16:00
Assembly point: In front of Inokashira-koen Station (Keio Line)
Course: Inokashira-koen Station to the community center at Mitaka Station (awards will be presented past the finish line)
Places available: The first hundred applicants will be eligible to take part
The event will be held even in light rain. In the event of heavy rain, participants will be informed by 9:30 as to whether the event will proceed.
Participation fee: 100 yen (payable in advance)
Deadline: May 11 (Mon)
