All those who have residency status in Japan and are aged between 20 and 59 must register on National Pension. (Except those who have registered for an employees’ pension or mutual pension and those who are dependent on their spouse)
If you pay the premiums and meet the eligibility requirements, you will receive an old-age pension from 65 years old, disability pension if you remain disabled after a sickness or an accident and survivors’ pension for your wife and children when you die.
Visit Civil Affairs Section (Window three at the City hall 1st floor) with your alien registration card.
