The 20th Mitaka International Exchange Festival -Sense the World in Mitaka!-

To encourage people to take advantage of this great opportunity to mingle and converse with people without borders, the Mitaka International Society for HOsPitality (MISHOP) will be hosting the Mitaka International Exchange Festival. The theme for the 20th anniversary of the festival is “Sense the World in Mitaka!”There will be even more international events and stalls than last year.

1. Stage

Don’t miss your chance to see various dance and music performances from around the world as well as traditional Japanese arts.


2. Tent Shop Area

This year, for the first time, the area will be divided into 8 world zones to display the unique characteristics and cultures of each country. Also, around 60 organizations, including embassies, NPOs and NGOs will be selling food, drinks and folk-crafts from around the world. Each country will be holding small music and dance performances.


3. MISHOP Area

This zone presents activities of MISHOP such as supporting foreign citizens, promoting multicultural understanding and inter national exchange for citizens.


4. Community Fellowship Exchange Area

This zone introduces the activities of public offices, international exchange organizations and similar bodies.
