Getting close to the deadline!!

The deadline to apply for the supplementary income payments is October 1 (accepted if postmarked on that day). Please be aware that if you don’t apply by the deadline, it is considered that you declined the application and you won’t be able to receive money.
The supplementary income payments pay 12,000 yen (20,000 yen for those over 65 years old and under 18 years old) to those who are registered in Mitaka City’s foreign resident registry as of February 1 in 2009 (excluding those who are staying illegally and those with temporary visitor’s visas).
About 450 foreign residence households have not applied for it as of July 15. It’s about 8 million yen. Please apply and spend it to stimulate the economy.
Those whose visa has expired as of February 1 will not receive the application. Please renew your registration at the Foreigner Registration Section in the city hall. (We regularly check the updates at the office, so when you renew the registration, we will send you the application.)
