Puccoon (Murasaki) and water from Inokashira was used to dye fabric called “Edo Murasaki” which was really popular in the late Edo period. In the city, there are many spots which are associated with Puccoon (Murasaki) such as “Murasaki Lantern” in Inokashira Park and “Murasaki Bridge” spanning the Tamagawa Josui.
