Mitaka City subsidizes tuition for parents who have children going to private elementary and junior high schools to reduce the parents’ burden as well as to promote and enrich the children’s education at private schools. For people who missed the deadline, late applications will be accepted.

Objectives

Those who have children enrolled in private elementary and junior high schools (including international schools equivalent to elementary and junior high schools) as of May 1st 2009 and are registered in Mitaka City’s foreign resident registry.

Subsidy

9,000 yen for a year per student

Please submit to the Board of Education School Affairs Section or municipal offices. You can also post it to the School Affairs Section

Application procedure

The application form is provided at each private school in Tokyo. Fill in the form and submit it with the certificate of enrollment. If the school doesn’t provide the application form, please call the School Affairs Section.
